LEFT TURN TO BE ALLOWED OUT OF HAMILTON SCHOOL EXIT
Captain Jonathan D. Miller, M.S., of the Glen Rock Police Department has advised they will place a bag over the two "No Left Turn" signs which prohibit a left turn out of the school’s driveway during the construction on Harristown Road.
Parents MAY make a left turn out of Hamilton School until the bags are removed from the signs, and then we will go back to the previous restriction.
Also Howard, the crossing guard, will NOT be putting out the cones and sign that prohibit a left onto Rodney from Harristown at 3 PM.
Please note that Harristown Road *(between Stonefield Road and Rodney Street) will be completely closed from November 9th - 13th from 7 am to 5 pm. A police officers will be present during this time. Please be safe navigating this area.
NEW DISMISSAL PROCEDURE
The new dismissal procedure began Monday, October 19th, 2015, for all students in Kindergarten, First and Second Grades. These students will be picked up at their outside classroom doors.
Update: Parents of students in 2H, 1W, and KL will be allowed to walk through the lobby and out the doors at 3:10 pm. Parents may walk back through the lobby to exit the school. We will start this Monday, November 2, 2015.
Students in Third, Fourth, and Fifth grades will still be dismissed in the same manner they are now.
As well, some things that remain are:
- Older students in 4th and 5th grade may pick up younger siblings with a note from the parent.
- Students can be brought together for dismissal for play dates, pickups, etc., with a note from the parent.
- Kindergarten students are dismissed at 3:15 pm.
Your children's safety is and always will be the primary goal for such decisions.
